Packaging matters. And, nowhere more than in the beauty industry. For many beauty brands, innovative packaging is an integral part of creating a cut-through beauty product.
The global cosmetics packaging industry is expected to be worth more than $33 billion by 2024. Rising competition and diverse consumer needs are driving transformation and innovation in the packaging industry. To meet these demands, China Beauty Expo 2019 has created Hall W8 Fashionable and Creative Packaging.
China’s young consumers, particularly those born after 1995, are open to new ideas and play a major role in shaping the future market.
To reach these younger consumers, brands are experimenting with premium, personalized, and limited edition packaging. China Beauty Expo’s new Hall W8 Fashionable and Creative Packaging will showcase the latest packaging trends. It links Halls W4 and W5, the exhibitions two existing packaging halls and will attract an even broader group of professional visitors.
The growing market for personalized cosmetics packaging places new demands for stable and sustainable packaging material across the supply chain. Rising awareness of environmentally-friendly packaging is one trend that is shaping the industry. According to WGSN, emerging trends include the use of recyclable and eco-friendly paper materials, reusable packaging, and DIY designs. At the same time, smart packaging is also becoming more popular.
China Beauty Expo will also showcase new packaging designs that are coming out of China. In 2019, China Beauty Expo is partnering with Ada Packaging Co Ltd to organize the 2nd China Cosmetic Packaging Design Competition inside Hall W8. The competition will be held in collaboration with leading packaging manufacturers and China’s 10 top design schools. The competition will highlight emerging Chinese packaging designers and promote the development of cosmetics packaging design in China.
China Beauty Expo 2019 is also launching the Most Stylish Interactive Packaging Experience Zone and the 2019 China Beauty Expo Exhibition of Winning Entries in the International Cosmetics Design Competition. Both of these events will be major attractions in Hall W8.
